A renowned French ceramist, Claire Debril (1927-2021) began her career in 1962 in Bernard Soleil's workshop. She worked with the Gien factory from 1970 to 1974, where she produced exceptional pieces. Her work has been exhibited in numerous museums, including Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Musée de la Céramique in Sèvres.
This book presents the work of Claire Debril and examines, in particular, the way in which she lets her fingertips express her relationship with space, with emptiness, with fullness, with rigour and poetry.
