The Hotel de Fieubet as we know it today is the result of a long history that began in the Middle Ages and of which the recent restoration work is only a new stage.
This book retraces the encounter between this residence, representative of the evolution of the Marais district but also of the ambition of a rich 19th century businessman, and the Massillon school, founded five years before its installation in these walls one hundred and forty years ago.
Through the history of this private mansion and its occupants, the veil is gradually lifted on the campaigns of work undertaken over the centuries, revealing over the pages the still visible testimonies of the different eras. The Massillon School, which has owned the premises since 1877, also offers an image of stability in perpetual evolution.
