From a nineteenth-century cast-iron building in Manhattan to a sprawling ranch in the mountains of West Texas, the book details the interiors, exteriors, and surrounding grounds of the buildings that constitute Judd's current living and working spaces. Each of the spaces has been carefully considered by Judd, with a determined attention to function and design. From the furniture to the utilitarian structures that Judd himself designed, these residences reflect Judd's consistent aesthetic.

With archival and recent photographs, as well as five essays by the artist, the book explores Judd's personal spaces, which are an essential part of the American artist's work.
