Lebanese architect and decorator Elie Gharzouzi is famous for having been one of the first to introduce the Arab world to the European decorative arts, particularly French and English, thus assuming the role of cultural broker.
His atmospheres, true scenographies, put in dialogue at the same time his Parisian culture, his oriental sense of conviviality and his Mediterranean sensuality. He takes pleasure in manipulating and mixing styles, in juggling colours, always with discretion, creating a very personal imprint by decompartmentalising centuries, years, trends and fashions.
This book presents ten of the architect and decorator's most remarkable interiors: flats, villas, palaces and yachts, which are intriguing, inspired, often a little intimidating, but very refined.
