The gardens of the Manoir d'Eyrignac are, with those of Marqueyssac, the best known and most visited gardens of the Périgord. Recreated in the last century by the father of the current owner, and maintained with an uncommon rigor, they represent the archetype of the French garden on a human scale. The boxwoods, yews and hornbeams cut into topiaries represent in this garden the "nec plus ultra" of what it is possible to do in this matter.
This book offers an original walk through the gardens of Eyrignac, in particular the central alley, one of the best known and most original elements of this garden.
