Exhibition at the Fondazione Ferrero, Alba, 29 October 2016 - 27 February 2017
This exhibition catalogue is a tribute to Giacomo Balla (1871 - 1958), an extraordinary painter and a fundamental link between Italian art and the historical avant-garde movements, through an exceptional selection of works from prestigious public and private, Italian and international collections.
Divided into three sections (Life; Light; Speed) the book traces Giacomo Balla's life and work, from his apprenticeship in Turin to social realism, his experimentation with Divisionist techniques and his great Futurist moment.
