As soon as he acquired his house, Henri Le Sidaner (1862-1939) set out to conserve and embellish the site of Gerberoy. Advising the inhabitants on the colours of the facades, giving them a taste for the ornamentation of their homes, fighting against dilapidated houses, he recomposed the landscape before fixing it on his canvases.
This book offers a walk through the gardens of Gerberoy, painted by Le Sidaner at the beginning of the 20th century. The painter's paintings are mixed with unpublished photographs and family archives.
