Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, born in 1933 and 1945, both from the former Soviet Union, are among the most important contemporary artists. They have worked closely together since 1989, combining the highest spiritual aspirations with a pragmatism tinged with humour and derision.
This book presents some 115 works, paintings, drawings, albums and installations, offering a broad perspective on the Kabakovs' work, from the 1960s to L'Étrange Cité at the Grand Palais for Monumenta 2014.
