The painter Jean Souverbie (1891-1981) left behind him a powerful and abundant work. Although many of his works are kept in museums (Musée d'Art moderne de la ville de Paris, Petit Palais, Musée des Arts décoratifs, etc.), the artist is today forgotten and so far no work had been dedicated to him.
Based on family archives and fruit of many years of extensive research, this monograph organised in a chrono-thematic order brings together a representative selection of paintings and drawings. This work is completed by a chronology, a bibliography, a list of exhibitions and the draft of a catalogue raisonné.
