This book presents 30 pieces of furniture typical of the 18th century creations. For each piece studied, the perspective representation shows its structure, and the drawing in fragmented perspective helps understanding its assembling method. Are also revealed the technical subtleties and the hidden parts only known by the cabinetmaker and by the restorer.
René Maubert, former student in Boulle school, shares here his experience as a restorer, which brought him to be in contact with exceptional pieces of furnishing coming from private collections of national museums.
