RARE BOOK
Exhibition at the Galerie du Luxembourg, Paris, June-October 1974
Throughout his career, the sculptor and cabinetmaker Rupert Carabin has reflected on the question of the decorative arts, their teaching, and the means to ensure their renewal in France. He was an outspoken critic of the division between "high art" and the decorative arts, which were relegated to the rank of industrial art at exhibitions.
This book is the catalogue of the exhibition devoted to Carabin by the Galerie du Luxembourg in 1974. Almost two hundred works by the artist are reproduced.
