Exhibition at the Château de Lunéville, 18 September 2021 - 9 January 2022
The political epicentre of the Lorraine duchies in the last century of their independence, the Château de Lunéville was also the monumental melting pot of an art fed by multiple influences. Its sculptures bear witness to the talent of the artists who came together to design the framework of a brilliant court life, from the portraits of the sovereigns to the decoration of the flats, not forgetting the fountains that brighten up the perspective of the gardens.
This exhibition catalogue deals with sculpture in all its diversity, from the furniture and wall decorations of the ducal flats to the statuary of the basins and the reliefs.
