This book is the first study dedicated to the furniture exhibited at the
Musée Nissim de Camondo, testimony of the richness of Decorative Arts in the
second half of the 18th century. About 180 pieces of work have been chosen and
photographed out of context, in order to show the qualities of each of theses masterworks and to offer thus a new way of
approaching them.
This analysis by Sylvie Legrand-Rossi, Chief Curator of the museum, lays on extensive researches notably into the Count's archives and in the expertises of various restorers.
