Founded in Denmark in 1874 by Ludvig Raymond Poulsen, the Louis Poulsen brand was transformed by designer Poul Henningsen when he created the iconic PH lamps. Since then, Louis Poulsen has worked with some of the world's most talented designers, from Arne Jacobsen to Oki Sato's nendo.

By delving into the company's rich history and archives, this monograph traces the history of one of the most unique lighting design houses and its development over the generations.

The book features creations by great mid-century designers such as Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen, as well as some of the most creative contemporary designers, including GamFratesi and Olafur Eliasson. Published to mark the 150th anniversary of the iconic lighting company, it includes over 200 archive drawings and photographs, most of which have never been seen before.
