The late Louis Vuitton creative director and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh (1980-2021) changed the fashion landscape by blurring boundaries and fighting for inclusion. His appointment in March 2018 as artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's ready-to-wear line made him the first person of African descent to lead the brand's menswear line, as well as one of the few black designers to head a major French fashion house.
Featuring more than 250 images, this book pays tribute to the designer's groundbreaking creativity on and off the catwalk and bears witness to how the Vuitton-Abloh partnership redefined not only dress codes but their very vocabulary. The book also includes personal statements and reflections from Abloh's intimate circle, including Nigo, Naomi Campbell, Luka Sabbat and Kid Cudi.
