Exhibition at the Palais Lumière, Évian, 1 July - 5 November 2023
Man Ray occupies a pre-eminent place in the history of twentieth-century art. An active member of Dadaism and then Surrealism, he was one of the first to use photography as a creative medium in its own right, turning the technique into an art form.
This exhibition catalogue chronologically retraces the career of this unclassifiable artist, inventor and pioneer of genius, through photographs, drawings, paintings, objects, illustrated books, magazines and films.
