Exhibition at the Musée Picasso, Antibes, 30 June - 27 October 2024
This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to present twelve masterpieces by Joan Miró (1893-1983), produced between 1925 and 1968, from one of the world's most important private collections, the Nahmad Collection, at the Musée Picasso in Antibes. From their first meeting in Paris in 1920, the two artists shared a deep friendship that lasted throughout their lives. Their bond was also a ferment of their creative passion.
Unlike a traditional exhibition catalogue, each page of this book offers a reason for meditation or a subtle dialogue, and reports on an installation in the changing space of the museum's galleries, for an original encounter between a work and an architecture, an unusual journey in twelve stages to share the exact beauty of these paintings.
