Essentially known for his landscapes which style has many things in common with Corot's one, Paul Désiré Touillebert (1831-1900), French painter, counts among the forerunners of Impressionism. Portraits painter, he has given preference to the landscapes since 1881. His subjects are the same as the ones with which Corot became famous: edges of rivers, Parisian suburbs.
