Trained by Marcel Gascoin, Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) began his career in 1951 as an independent designer-decorator, relying on avant-garde editors as Airborne, Galerie MAI, The Huchers-Minvielles and Pierre Disderot for lighting.
From the 1960s, he privileged interior architecture. He participated notably to Firminy project after the death of Le Corbusier, to the creation of La Plagne with architect Michel Bezançon and designed the interiors of the Essonne Prefecture and Departmental Council in Evry and of Créteil Tribunal de grande instance.
Based on unpublished archives, this monograph retraces a career rich of more than 200 interior designs, nearly as many furniture pieces and an exceptional set of lighting fixtures that are the base of modern lighting.
