Described by his contemporary as the « Riesener of the 20th century » although he wasn't a cabinetmaker, Jacques Emile Ruhlmann (1879-1933) created during his 20-year career more furniture and seats than all his colleagues. His refined furniture, which he designed himself, met with a keen interest of a wealthy clientele, flattered to be associated to contemporary creation, and who provided him with an international fame.
Fruit of numerous years of researches, Florence Camard's book is definitive and exhaustive. With the index of furniture and the CD-Rom added to this work, this publication is the most complete one published on Ruhlmann.
