Born in Liège in 1858, Gustave Serrurier became one of the leading belgian designers at the forefront of the European Art Nouveau movement around 1900. Basically architect, he rapidly created furniture and decoration with his wife Maria Bovy. He dissociated from art nouveau, with simple and rational furniture without inessential details, compatible with industrial production and modern style.
This first book devoted to this creator examines his life and works from every angle and shows us a lot of pieces of his work.
