Exhibition at Her Noordbrabants Museum, Den Bosch, 21 September 2019 - 12 January 2020
Revealing a complex and emotionally engaging picture of Vincent van Gogh behind some of his most famous works, this exhibition catalogue brings together well-known works from private collections, as well as rare documents virtually unknown to the public, such as a never-exhibited sketchbook Vincent gave to Betsy Tersteeg, the daughter of a Hague art dealer, and poems he sent to his brother and confidant Theo.
The book also contains many lesser-known portraits of family and friends, revealing how they appeared through the artist's eyes.
