A material that is both simple to make and complex to work with, glass offers almost infinite creative possibilities to those who know how to master it. The collaboration between Jean-Michel Wilmotte (1948-) and the glassmakers of Murano has produced unique works, imbued with the designer's vision of playing with shapes and materials.
The "Vaisseaux" collection by Jean-Michel Wilmotte (1948-) combines nostalgia and modernity. These works, produced in the Murano studios, are mainly inspired by the designer's childhood memories and the objects found in his father's pharmaceutical laboratory.
Published following the "Aqua e fogo" exhibition in Venice in 2023, this book presents the chandeliers, table lamps, wall lamps, vases and other objects in the "Vaisseaux" collection.
