This critical catalogue raisonné by Odile Delenda is the most complete and rigorous study on Francisco de Zurbarán. This book is the first that separates paintings by the artist from the ones by his workshop.
Volume I, published in December 2009, chronologically lists 286 works. Each of them is complemented by a technical note, an historical background, and a commentary with documents and comparative analysis. A CD-Rom completes the notes with bibliographical references and exhibitions where the work has appeared.
Volume II, published in December 2010, includes notably a study on each of Zurbarán's best assistants, and the thematic survey of the works of his pupils and followers.
