In 2010, "gastronomic meal of the French" became part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage of Humanity.
This catalogue of the exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of this even and the 280 years of the Manufacture de Sèvres retraces the history of this gastronomic meal, from Antiquity to nowadays. It refers to preparation and consumption of the meals, tableware and art of conversation, and features around 1000 works, most of them coming from the rich collections of the Musée national de céramique de Sèvres and the Musée national Adrien Dubouché in Limoges. Prestigious lends from institutions and great French Maisons as Christofle or Saint-Louis complete this book.
