Exhibition at the Château de La Motte-Tilly, 29 May - 20 September 2015
Through sumptuous paintings preserved in the Versailles collections, documents, drawings and unpublished art objects from national public collections and private collections, this exhibition catalogue paints a portrait of Abbé Joseph Marie Terray, minister of Louis XV and owner of La Motte Tilly, who was reviled by his contemporaries but rehabilitated by history. The work thus offers a new rediscovery, in its field, of a little-known figure of the reign of Louis XV.
