One of the leading architects of the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, Frank Gehry (1929-) has left a legacy of buildings around the world that have made a difference to contemporary architecture. Unclassifiable, despite attempts to portray him as an artist lost among architects, a nihilist or an iconoclast, he has responded with finesse to the challenges of the most complex programmes and the most delicate urban fabrics.
This monograph presents some forty of the architect's most spectacular buildings, including his home in Santa Monica, the Beekman Tower in New York, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris and Luma Arles. Each monument is presented through interior and exterior views.
