Ceramist Karen Swami's career path has taken her through the worlds of finance and film production, but with a wheel in her office and a potter's diploma. Her passion for clay dates back to the age of five, and has never left her. Little by little, large-scale pieces invaded her space and her time, seducing collectors and propelling her to the forefront of the art scene.
This lavishly illustrated book showcases Karen Swami's chamotte stoneware, "terres enfumées" and "terres nues", kintzugi, cobalt blue, red enamel, celadon and "galuchats", all dynasties of shapes, styles and colours that have made their mark.
