Pierre Staudenmeyer (1952-2007) discovered some of the most important French designers of the late 20th century, as François Bauchet, Olivier Gagnère, Garouste & Bonetti or Martin Szekely, and introduced in France Jasper Morrison, Ettore Sottsass or Andrea Branzi. He also relaunched interest in 1950s ceramic, of which he was a great collector, and contemporary ceramic.
This book, edited by Cholé Braunstein-Kriegel, design specialist and friend of Staudenmeyer, reveals the multiple sides of this great dealer, through analysis of curators, design and marketing specialists, and testimonies of his friends and relatives. The catalogue of furniture and edited objects exhibited by Néotù, then by Mouvements Modernes, shows, with more than 900 pieces, a unique work of publisher.
