Artist Martine Martine, born Martine Lévy (1932- ), daughter of the art lovers Pierre and Denise Lévy, studied at the Académie Julian and at La Grande-Chaumière. In 1956, she took part in a group exhibition at the Romanet gallery, 100 paintings of flowers from Van Gogh to Bernard Buffet, and her work was bought by the State.

After this success, Martine Martine did not exhibit anything for seventeen years, devoting herself solely to her work. At the end of this long period, and on the advice of the art critic Claude Roger-Marx, she presented her paintings at the Katia Granoff gallery in Paris in 1971. Exhibitions followed in Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Geneva and Brussels. Her work is present in many French and foreign museums.

This book is the catalogue raisonné of Martine Martine's work. It includes her paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewellery and ceramics.
