Trained in the Arts décoratifs in Paris under the direction of Eugène Morand, Maurice Brianchon (1899-1979) remained far from the trends of his time. Rigorously constructed, his work fascinates by its richness and the subtlety of its palette. Numerous art galleries, as Bernheim and Les Beaux Arts in Paris, Finlay in New York or Yoshii in Tokyo were interested in his paintings.
This critical catalogue, introduced by a text by the artist's son, underlines Brianchon's creative richness through more than 900 works, most of them reproduced in colour.
