Exhibition at NMNM - Villa Paloma, Monaco, 7 June - 13 October 2024
The work of Miquel Barceló (1957-) is inextricably linked to the intimate relationship he has had with the sea since childhood, and which he continues to study and explore. The aquatic world remains the primordial and omnipresent environment in the work of the Spanish artist, from his earliest canvases to his most recent works.
This exhibition catalogue brings together some sixty works - paintings, ceramics, embroidery, works on paper - by Miquel Barceló, offering an immersion into the abundant production of an artist who is passionate about fishing, swimming and diving. The book includes previously unpublished contributions, an interview with the artist and a critical review.
