After participating in the artistic effervescence of the avant-garde, Victor Brauner (1903-1966) joined the Surrealist movement in 1933 in Paris, before being excluded in 1947.
This book devoted to the Romanian artist, both an exhibition catalogue and a monograph, includes more than a hundred paintings and drawings, essays by specialists as well as an anthology of texts, some of which are unpublished.
